Hello, I am 6 weeks pregnant and experiencing the same kind of sharp pain and dull, my doctor told me it was normal because their bodies change all the space that should be supplied for the developing baby to stretch the ligaments, but if The pain is very strong and your wife is really pain (my pain is bearable) arrived at the hospital doctors immediately, even if it's really a shame, because it can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy.
